Often when candidates have been shortlisted and hired by the company, it is courteous for the company to send them a welcome letter. This is a sweet gesture from the company that can go a long way with the candidate. A welcome letter can be one of the first step’s of the onboarding process and can ensure a higher employee retention rate.
This welcome letter could be a short, sweet message with attachments of a motivational quote within. This makes the recruit feel comforted and welcomed. Make sure you mention what all is to be carried with them for their first day, i.e., all important documents. This should include a copy of their resume, identity proof, prior bank statements, leaving and offer letters, etc. This could be made easier by attaching a checklist to the letter. Also clearly mention the day, date and time of joining with a clear location of the office.
