Subject: Union Request

Dear Sir,

I am David, working as a production employee in your company, and I am the union president among the employees that are working in the production unit. I am writing this letter to bring you to notice that we would like to refer to the recent management announcement with regards to overtime during holiday seasons. Although we understand that the company would like to capitalize on the opportunities of increasing profit through increased production during the holiday seasons, the members are not agreeable to the terms and conditions set forth on this issue, and they had a reason for this situation.

The rate is insufficient to cover the entitled time off during the holiday season as union members need the time off with their families for stronger bonding and quality time together as they are working for their family sake. Hence, the Union proposes that outside or temporary help be hired to cater to the increased workload during the holiday season, and I also think that it is a good alternative. By implementing the above plan the company can increase the rate of production, and we also get quantitative time to spend with family. The union is open to further reasonable suggestions and offers of compensation by the management. As the employees are safe at work and very co-operative, I hope you will look into this matter and would take action as soon as possible. Expecting a positive reply from you.

Respectfully yours,

David C. Molina,

Union President,

Central Technology Production.
