Termination Letter – Termination Letter for Non-Performance, Sample & Format

Introduction :

When a person is appointed in any organization, he is entitled to some responsibilities towards the organization. The employers expect the person to give his best to the work he has been assigned to. However, sometimes some people end up taking their position for granted, and they either don’t perform up to the mark or don’t perform at all. If that happens, the organization has the full right to terminate his employment as per the terms and conditions of the employment contract.

A termination letter for nonperformance, misconduct or absenteeism is a formal letter issued by the employer of an organization to his employee for nonperformance of the duty assigned to him/her. It mentions the lack of sense of responsibility on the person’s part and how it has affected the organizational goals as a whole. A person is always employed to perform certain duties. However, if the person fails to do so, then he has no right to remain working in the organization.

Subject – Termination letter for no performance.

Dear Mr. Ramnay,

It is with great regret that I am addressing this letter to you. I tried to delay it, but it seems like this has to be done as soon as possible. This is your termination letter for nonperformance of the duty assigned to you.

As you know, you were recruited to perform the function of senior manager, i.e., you had subordinates assigned to you whom you had to guide and help in the achievement of the yearly goals. However, it has been observed that you delegated most of your managerial duties to the subordinates and rested yourself during office hours. We had given you a warning a few months ago, but you don’t seem to care at all.

Due to the breach of the employment contract where it was stated that you could be terminated on the grounds of nonperformance of your duty, you are therefore terminated from your job. We can’t assign the fresh talent of the organization under a manager who has no sense of responsibility towards them. I hope you won’t take it personally, rather learn from it to not repeat such a mistake in your future.

Wishing you all the best.

Yours Sincerely,

Hitesh Jangra,

HR Executive,

Turbine Steel Strips Ltd.
