Sympathy Letter To Boss

A person’s personal life is just as important as his/her professional life, if not more. To lead a happy life, one must strike the correct balance between both personal and professional lives. One must maintain good and healthy relations with everyone in their workplace, even your boss to do this. You do not have to be the best of friends, but being on good, friendly terms will suffice.

It is for this purpose that when someone is going through something rough, even if it is someone higher to you in the hierarchy or your boss, it is only courteous to show them your support. You can write them a thoughtful letter, one which is semi-formal but still maintains a level of cordiality at the same time. Tell him/her that you are there for them and will do anything to help them overcome the grievous situation. If the situation is dire, then offer your condolences.

Subject: Sympathy Letter

Dear Mr.Dayal,

I recently came to know of the untimely demise of your daughter. I was horribly shocked to hear the news. Siya was such a beautiful young girl of six; it is both unfortunate and sad that we lost her to dengue. Hearing of your loss, I feel sorry for you. I hope the Gods bring your family much needed peace.

Sir, I would like to show my support and offer my help in whichever way I can. To make things at work easier for you, I will take care of the Kapoor Case files. I’ll file the affidavit by the 25th of September and send a summons and complaint letter directly to their office by the end of this month. As for the pending cases, I shall carry out the primary research while informing the parties about the delay. They will all be more than understanding.

My wife would like to come and help Ma’am with the everyday household chores and attend to the visiting guests. I can also ask my driver to arrange the pickup and drop off of your visitors if necessary. During such terrible times, it is important for all of us to stick together. I hope I can help you.  Please feel free to contact me for any help you might need. I am more than willing to take over your work for however long you need me to. Do take care, we are all here for you. Godspeed.

Yours Sincerely,

Akhil Sharma
