Scholarship letter


A Scholarship letter is written by a company or learning institution to inform its recipient of his/her successful application for a scholarship. The letter offers congratulations as well as the details of the scholarship offer. There may be attached terms, and conditions of the scholarship offered. The recipient needs to respond to the offer.

This letter is a reply to the student who applied for the scholarship. As mentioned above the details that should be mentioned in the letter are for which year you are offering scholarship and the total amount of money you are offering to the student, the documents that are needed to be submitted, the process that the student should follow to attain the scholarship amount. It is better to leave your contact number in the letter so that the student can contact you if he or she has needed any further details or to clarify doubts.

RE: Scholarship Offer

I am David, the Chief Staff of the Scholarship Committee. We have received your application of scholarship for your graduation and we are happy to inform you that you have been successful in your scholarship application for the next semester from our University. The Scholarship Committee has reviewed your scholarship application carefully and was impressed with your academic as well as co-curricular performance in the past 2 semesters. As such, the Scholarship Committee has decided to offer you a 100% tuition fee waiver for the coming academic year 2017. This means that you will not need to pay any tuition fees for the two semesters in 2017. You will still bear administrative fees. The process to attain the scholarship can be known to you when you contact us in the committee office.

We trust that this is favorable to you. Please refer to the Registrar for further clarifications. This Scholarship offer shall be updated into our University computer system before the start of the new academic year so that there is no need for you to worry about it.
