Introduction

A request letter for a bank statement is a letter written by a person to the bank manager to provide him/ her with a bank statement that one holds in the bank manger’s bank. It is a formal letter and hence has to polite and humble. Do not beat around the bush. Clearly, mention the need for such a request. Provide your bank account number along with your name. Mention where the receiver should send you the bank statement as a post, fax or email.

A bank statement contains details of the transaction done by the bank account holder from that particular account. One may wish to seek that information. Respected Sir,

My name is Rhett Butler and I have a savings bank account in the Heathrow branch of USI bank of which you are the esteemed bank manager. I would like to have the bank statement of my account of the past 3 months. I have to present my bank statement to the income tax office as I pay my early tax by the end of this month.

My account number is 27182712. It is a savings bank account as I have already mentioned and the account is in the name of Rhett Butler. I would like to have the bank statement sent to me as quickly as possible as the matter is urgent and of utmost importance.
