A recommendation letter is a letter written to lend support to another party for some benefit in an educational or official environment. For example, the sender of a recommendation letter may propose someone for a job in a company or for an individual to enter into a school or prestigious environment. The person writing the letter should be a person of authority to influence the recipient on a favorable decision. It is a formal letter where the sender assures the recipient of the character and competence of the person whose recommendation the sender is writing.
Be polite and humble. Make sure to check your letter for any kind of mistakes, grammatical or factual. You can also provide yours contact details in case the receiver wants to contact you. Tell briefly about the character of the person you are writing the recommendation of. Be sure you are able to convey to the receiver about the merits of the person. Do not bully the receiver to feel a certain way, you can only recommend but not impose.

Subject: Recommendation for Part-time Employment
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to recommend Juanita Moreno for part-time employment as a housekeeper with your esteemed agency. I have known Juanita for the past five years as she served in her capacity as my housekeeper.
Juanita is looking for a way to earn some extra income. Since at the moment I don’t need a full-time housekeeper, I have allowed her to seek part-time employment. She saw you agency’s advertisement in the newspaper for some part-time help at your agency and has answered to that.
She has been really helpful all these years. She used to clean up the house, wash the utensils, do the laundry and run errands for the house. As both I and my spouse are working, she took care of the house and our 2 children until we got back from work. Since our children have now grown up, we don’t need Juanita for a full time.
Juanita is a diligent and trustworthy employee who has nice manners and picks up new skills quickly. You will be just as satisfied with her performance as I have been if she were given the opportunity. She has never given us the chance to berate her and has always been more than a trustworthy housekeeper. If essential, please feel free to contact me for further information on Juanita Moreno.
Thank you for your kind consideration.
