Promotion Thank You Letter

A ‘Promotion Thank You’ letter is written by an employee who has been promoted to thank the management or his immediate superior who has given him a good recommendation or appraisal on his work performance. It is a letter of gratefulness and courtesy to show an employee’s appreciation of his good performance acknowledged by the management. The letter is quite tricky to write since even though it is highly formal, it has to maintain a gratuitousness throughout.

Start by dividing the letter into three or four paragraphs, comprising of an introduction, the main body and a conclusion. The introduction part should contain a general one-line statement capturing your gratitude. Then go on to elaborate why. In your concluding statement, offer a token of your gratitude, such as a bouquet of flowers or a free meal. A quick sampling of the letter provided below will give you a better idea.
