Post Interview letter

Post Interview letterIntroduction:

Applying for a new job can be a tumultuous and trying experience, having to deliver resumes to prospective companies, follow up calls and correspondences as well as the unnerving sense of anxiety. When one receives a call up for an interview, the period after represents a different set of challenges. One can anticipate a follow-up call or try to contact the company yourself. In the case of the latter, a Post Interview letter is written by the candidate who has finished his/her interview with a potential company that is hiring.

A post-interview letter is impactful to the hiring company as it serves to remind the hiring company of the potential candidate to be considered for the post interview. It conveys the zeal and the enthusiasm on the candidate’s end, which is something many look for in a potential candidate. Like any formal letter, A Post-Interview Letter must follow the specified guidelines. It must have a polite and courteous tone, and its contents must be brief and precise. Care must be taken to avoid any grammatical or spelling based errors as this reflects poorly on the candidate.

Subject: Thank you for the Interview

Dear Mr. Williams,

It is my privilege to have had the recent interview for the post of Marketing Manager, conducted by your good self at your office on July 1, 2010, at 10 am. Please allow me to thank you for taking the time to meet with me as I understand you were very busy with the company’s closing reports.

I was delighted to understand the vision and mission of Palm Spring Resorts, and with my Tourism qualifications and hotelier experience, I am confident of excelling in the interviewed post. I am familiar with the nation’s tourism status having worked in three other international hotels prior to applying for this job. Given the long-term goals that your hotel aims to achieve, I would love to play a major role in helping those plans come to fruition.

It would be an honor to promote Palm Spring Resorts after viewing its many impressive offerings during the interview. I do hope that you will consider my application for the said position favorably.

I would be waiting to hear from you positively soon.

Thanking You,

Yours sincerely,

Travis Roberts.
