It is an act of saying sorry for your wrong deed, whether done knowingly or unknowingly. It is for seeking pardon for a fault or offense.  Sometimes writing an apology letter helps to convey or put your heart out for something wrong done by you and for which you feel extremely sorry.

It is an act of humility on the part of the sender to send a personal apology letter to express regret and remorse over an incident which may not be directed related to the sender, who still feels responsible for the slip-up and wishes to patch up matters. It is with my deepest regret that I had misunderstood your call and message with the appointment date of Miss Karen Whitley, and the things got messed up causing both the parties some inconvenience. Please do accept my humble apologies for this error. I was slightly under the weather that day to cause a loss of concentration at my job. I shall endeavor not to repeat such mistakes in the future.

You are one of our important business partners and a lady who understands things very well and handles every situation like a pro. Meeting with your company has been fixed in this week on Thursday, February 15, 2011.
