Mortgage Authorization Letter
Introduction:
Mortgage is the method of loaning money with a property of the debtor kept as security with the creditor. The creditor keeps the original deed of the property to himself. On the repayment of the principal amount as well as the interest on the principal, the property deeds are restored to the owner. In the case of non-payment of the amount due, the creditor is well within his rights to sell the property to recover the money.
In case of a mortgage authorisation, the debtor authorises the creditor to allow information about the loan, which would other wise not be accessible by the general public due to the privacy policies, to a third party. This is a formal letter written by the debtor to the creditor. This includes the loan amount, payment transaction history, property mortgaged, documents related to mortgage. This letter needs to be written and sent to the bank or creditor along with the necessary documentation. The authorisation letter is kept as proof in case of any later disputes that may arise relating to this.
