Marriage Invitation Letter, Sample & Format
A Marriage invitation letter is written to invite friends and family members to an upcoming wedding. It is personal in its contents and less formal, informing the recipient of the happy news while extending an invitation to be present for the upcoming wedding. Marriage is a very special occasion for the family of the bride as well as the groom and so both the families would want all their relatives and friends to join them to celebrate such an important day of their lives. Both the families should correctly write the letter, and it should be polite and convincing enough for maximum people to join in.
Write the letter in the correct format and remember to thank the reader at the end. Also, ask the reader for confirmation on their presence in the marriage. The invitation letter should state the details of the wedding concisely to allow the recipient to consider accepting the invite. Be concise and exact in your points and the information that you need to get through. Do not unnecessarily write things that are not important in an invitation letter. Make it a point to send the letter a few days in advance so that the attendees could free their schedule to attend the marriage.

Dear Ronnie & Farah,
Re: Marriage Invitation
It is my pleasure to invite you to my youngest daughter’s wedding this DD/MM/YYYY. Mia has finally found the man of her dreams, so she says, but we have to agree with her this time. David Riley, her fiancé, is Mia’s business associate whom she has known for three years.
Their wedding is to be held at the Lake View Park at 10 am during the summer. Mia and David love the outdoors, and a sunny luncheon will be available after the exchange of vows at the fountain in the Park.
Please revert on your presence before DD/MM/YYYY, to assist us in the catering and planning of Mia’s wedding. It would be an honor to have your presence at Mia’s wedding as you have watched her grow all these years. She has personally mentioned your names to be added to the top of her guest list.
We look forward to your presence.
Your good friend,
David Dobson & family
