Manager Goodbye Letter, Sample & Format

Introduction

When an employee has to leave the organization for whatever reason of their own, a formal letter of leave must be submitted by the employee to the Management or the Human Resource Department of the Organization. The letter is submitted to intimidate the management about the employee leaving the organization and making sure that all their pending dues are cleared before they leave the company.

A Manager Goodbye letter is written by a Manager of the company or organization to intimidate the company that they would be leaving the organization as well as give a formal farewell to the employees working with him. The letter can mention the reason for why the Manager is leaving the company as well as the day that they would be leaving. It must provide any contact details in which they can be called on in case of any queries or problems within the organization.

Respected Sir,

I have been working as the Manager of the Accounts Department at Agile Publications Pvt. Ltd. for the past five years and have been working in the organization for the past 15 years. I have dedicated a good part of my life to your esteemed organization and it is finally time for me to take your leave.

According to the law of the State, an employee can take leave from an organization and retire when they have reached the age of 60 years. I would like to bring upon that policy of the State and ask you to let me retire by the end of this December so that I can live a good and peaceful life in my old age.

The days spent at this company would always be held dear in my heart and I would always cherish all the memories that I made here in the last 15 years. I have received a lot of respect and love from all my colleagues and juniors at the organization and I learnt a lot from my seniors. I wish to always be in touch with all my peers here, so I have left my contact details with the HR department, you can contact me whenever you need.

I would like to suggest Mr. Jared Jones to take over my responsibilities when I leave; I believe him to be a potential candidate.
