Letter of Intent to Purchase

Letter of intent to purchase

A letter of intent to purchase is written by anyone who wishes to indicate his intention to make a purchase of some entity such as a car or property. The letter is an indication that the sender has intentions to make the purchase and the recipient is made known of the sender’s purchase intentions. The letter acts as a reservation for the sender on his intended purchase.

While writing a letter of intent to buy, the writer can ask basic queries regarding the house. This will help them clear any doubts that they have. They can make an offer to buy the house or set up a meeting with the owner to negotiate the terms and conditions. The letter must be written in a formal manner. The sender must attach their contact details along with the letter so that it is easier for the house owner to contact them if needed.

Dear Sir,

Subject: Letter of Intent to Purchase

This letter serves as a letter of intent to purchase a unit of property at the Lakeview Country Homes under your esteemed company’s banner.

I was very taken in with the corner lot at the Lakeview Country Homes Open House event last Sunday, DD/MM/YYYY, and I was not prepared to pay any deposit at that point in time due to certain personal reasons. Hence, I am writing this letter of intent to purchase the corner unit of lot number LCH3980-1.

The open house for the corner lot provided us with a lot of information about the house, but I still have a few doubts regarding it. I was hoping you would be able to answer my questions. I was wondering if the furniture that was showcased at the open house would be provided to the buyer and if the there were any water shortage problems in the area. Apart from that, all my other queries were answered at the Open House.

I shall be coming into your office with the deposit and to settle the purchase processing in a couple of days. If there are any changes that can be made in the agreement, I would certainly like to hear about them. We can negotiate the terms and conditions if necessary.  I trust that you will make this reservation of the mentioned lot on my behalf.

I am attaching my contact details along with this letter including my personal phone number and my email address. Do not hesitate to call me and please do contact me for further clarifications.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely,

Marie Johnson
