Introduction:

Typically, announcements are made by the companies in the meetings or functions organized by them. Although they are shown in a way that it is a surprise, it is not because the persons being appreciated are informed in advance about it before the meeting.

There are also many talent competitions those are organized from the state level, national level to an international scale. These are organized by Educational Institutions or by Industries or by Government agencies or by International Industrial Organizations. Most of the bodies encourage “Innovative Ideas for further development and marketing, after giving recognition to the “Inventor.” Thus in such cases, there is a “Letter of Announcement” of the program issued by organizers to various institutions, public bodies, industries, etc. They conduct competitions requesting experts in the field to examine the working models, the basic knowledge of the participant, originality of the idea, etc. The results of the competition are then prepared. The “Letter of Announcement” of result is drafted and sent to media for making coverage of the “Announcement of the ‘Winner’ and ‘Runner-up’ of the competition and the Announcement of the Chief Guest who will be awarding these prizes to winner and runner-up.” The “Letter of Announcement” and the names of the winner and runner-up are also intimated to all the institutes, industries, International Industrial organizations.

 

 

 

Tips for Writing a Good Letter of Announcement:

  • The Announcement is made on many occasions. The Announcement of a company in its meeting and the letter of Announcement of Board of Directors to company officials regarding functioning will be particular as a direction towards working by officers. It can also be as the promotions and demotions of some of the officials.
  • As regards Business families the letter of Announcement can be co-ordination of two families in one business.
  • For Industrial/ Business/Publishing Organizations, organizing exhibitions for promoting their activities in addition to their regular working/functioning is essential as also in order to make developments in the product or adding new products the competitions are required to be organized. All these activities need publicity, and there is a need to send Letter of Announcement.
  • A Letter of Announcement is required to be concise, but sufficiently informative and focused on providing updates and information of the event being organized.
  • The Letter of Announcement should provide complete information about an upcoming event, giving all details including time, date, venue, fee.
