A Legal Engagement letter is a formal letter that an attorney writes on behalf of his/her client, engaging the services of a vendor or supplier for his/her client. The letter is formal and binding with the terms and conditions stated clearly; it serves as a contract between the two business parties. Such a letter is common in day to day business and used by business professionals to initiate a conjoined partnership with others or to employ their services. Such letters can also be written by individuals wishing to employ the services of a particular business.
Such a letter needs to be formal and polite in tone and should be devoid of any grammatical, structural or spelling mistakes as this would reflect poorly on the behalf of the sender and also as it is considered legally binding and must be preserved for future legal references. This letter is in reference to our prior conversation regarding employment of your company’s AMC services for the maintenance of our systems. This letter from my legal office serves as a legal notice to you to be engaged by my client, Universal Safe Industry for the period of a month from March 1, 2011, to March 30, 2013. During the specific engagement period, Baldwin Technological Services is obliged to service Universal Safe Industry on all their computer systems, which include repair works, updates, and training of new staff.
The attached terms and conditions apply with this legal engagement of Baldwin Technological Services for Universal Safe Industry. The terms and conditions include your requested compensation along with the work hours that we specified and your company agreed upon. If you agree to the attached terms and conditions, kindly sign on the dotted lines to bring to effect the engagement between Baldwin Technological Services and Universal Safe Industry. Please return the said documents by February 15, 2011.
We look forward to an effective partnership that is profitable to both the parties. We shall bring it to your direct notice if we find anything lacking in your work or not to the level of our satisfaction and we request you to do the same. There is very little chance that we shall be delayed in the payment of the amount due as all our payments are made in advance, but if such an occasion arises, then you shall be personally addressed an apology and intimation letter.
