Job Letter of Interest

Job letter of InterestIntroduction:

A job letter of interest is written by a person who is interested in a position or job, perhaps through an advertisement. This letter is written to confirm the interest in that job position and seeks to request for more information about the post or to be considered for hire. Through this letter, the person expresses his or her interest in applying for the job.  You can state the reason behind applying for the job and mention any reference if anyone told you about the job.  You can at the end of the letter thank the concerned person for giving you his or her time.

The tone of the letter should be formal as it is a business letter. Keep the letter concise and ensure there are no grammatical or spelling errors. Mention in the letter that you are enclosing your resume and other details for their perusal and for further queries they can contact you also. End the letter on a hopeful note.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Re: Job Interest

Mr. Joseph Rider recommended me, the Services Department Manager of your esteemed company, of a vacancy in Riley International Services.

I am a friend of Mr. Rider who informed me that there is a vacancy of Secretary to the Director at Riley International Services. Hence, I am writing with a keen interest in that position as I am currently a secretary to the branch manager of a local retail company.

I would like to enquire further on the position, if vacant for my consideration. I am seriously thinking of a career change after four years at the current company with slow coming opportunities of promotions and learning. As yours is a very reputed company, I would be delighted to join your team.  It will be a tremendous learning experience and will give the much-needed boost to my career.

If there is such a vacancy, I shall be pleased to hand in my resume for your kind consideration on my interest in this job. You can email me if you need any more information from my side.

I look forward to a quick reply from you and hope to be a part of the company soon.

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Cherie Henderson
