Interview Response Letter, Sample & Format

Introduction

Interviews are an experience that everyone looks forward to. Sometimes it can go well or sometimes it doesn’t. It’s a good gesture to accept the invitation for interview via email as this is a more official way of responding to the offer. Sometimes you may have mentioned your response and decision to the HR manager or HR representative during the telephonic interview or via phone call, but it’s still important that you confirm the meeting officially by mail. This makes solid proof, and there won’t be any confusion as you would mention all necessary details in the letter. An Interview Response Letter can be used in such situations. Here is a brief note and a sample letter that you can refer while writing an Interview Response Letter.

Don’t forget to ask necessary details like the location of the company, the position that you will be working as, etc. Also, it’s a nice gesture to thank the recruiter for inviting you for the interview, and you can add why you applied for the job or how excited you are about working there, etc. While it shall not be too expressive about your excitement, it’s nice to show that you are happy about receiving the interview call. Always maintain a professional tone throughout the letter as you will be judged in the way you are writing the letter. Below is a sample letter that you can refer to writing an Interview Response Letter.
