How To Write A Scholarship Letter
A scholarship letter is usually written by a student or a candidate who wishes to apply for monetary support for his/her education. The need for a scholarship can arise from anything, such as having to pay exorbitant tuition fees, hostel rent, food and the like. It is especially relevant if you are planning to apply for higher studies abroad and you are not in a position to fund yourself. The letter is written to a high-ranking official, such as an institution head, an alumnus, a trust fund, etc.
The letter should contain important details such as grade list of the candidate, a good statement of purpose and the like. Since the letter is highly important, it is necessary to maintain a formal tone throughout the letter. The letter should be divided into the introduction, the main body, and a fitting conclusion. Do not forget to include necessary details in the letter.

Muslim Girls Education Fund,
Subject: Request for Scholarship
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health!
Let me introduce myself as Hebba Ahmed, currently pursuing my 4th Year Integrated M.A, in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. I write this letter to you with my earnest request for a scholarship to fund my further studies in University of California, Berkeley.
Even back in school, I was a keen and observant student with a desire to study. Ever since my childhood, I had been very much interested in reading books, and this was what inspired me to apply for the prestigious M.A programme in IIT, Madras. Fortunately, I was selected in it, with an All-India Rank of 5 (out of the 1 lakh students who had written the exam). I had been fortunate enough to maintain a good CGPA throughout my 4 years here. My current CGPA (till this semester) is 9.5. A detailed grade card has been attached along with this mail.
I nurse dreams of doing a ‘Doctor of philosophy’ in Media Studies, in the University of California Berkeley. My application has been accepted and I have to join the university within 6 months. However, since the fees to be paid is too high, I would like to avail the ‘JGHF Muslim Girls Further Studies Scholarship’. Please do consider my request for the same. I have attached all the necessary documents with this mail
