Goodbye Letters to Coworkers, Sample & Format

Goodbye Letters to CoworkersIntroduction

It’s a well known fact that goodbyes are hard, in fact the very thought of change sends a shiver down most people’s spines, the scary part about goodbyes is how you have to leave everything behind and go and make everything happen from scratch, it becomes even more difficult when you’re moving away from something that you have been with for so many years.

A goodbye letter is always hard to write, especially to bid farewell to those whom you have worked with for some time. But it is necessary to part ways in one’s career and this goodbye letter to coworkers offer the resigning colleague an opportunity to thank his colleagues for the past working opportunities. Its very important in a situation like this that you mention all your feelings for the people that you are writing this letter to, as goodbyes happen once and then everyone drifts apart. So take the time that you have and make the most of it.

Dear Operations Staff

Re: Goodbye to All

As most of you might have already heard, I am leaving this company very soon and let me tell you how wonderful it has been working with every single one of you. I still remember my first day when I came here wondering whether or not I will fit into this working environment. But all my fears and doubts vanished when I met you people. You all have been such amazing people both personally and professionally.

Before I take the final step and leave, I want all of you to know that this definitely was one of the most learning and enlightening part of my life as I have grown so much and learnt so much from and with all of you. Each one of you have always extended your support and have been there for me as a colleague and otherwise. I still remember when we had neck to neck projects and I was unable to make it some days, everyone gathered and shared the work for me and that made me reach my deadlines with comfort. I thank you all for being a home away home and making sure I have a very healthy working environment.

I am pleased that all of you are supportive of Mr. Denny Mason who will step into my position soon. I am sure you will work well as a team.

Lastly, I wish each of you success in health and career. I hope we can meet again soon.

Best wishes,

Robert A. Gonzales
