Formal Invitation Letter, Sample & Format

Introduction

Invitations can be of two types. Typically formal and informal. While the aim of all invitation letters is to be cordial and welcoming however when you are writing the letter to a person of seniority or someone you are not very close to, your letter should maintain a tone of formality.

To ensure that the letter is formal, refrain from writing extremely long sentences or messages. Usually, the essence of the message gets lost in such invites. Try sticking to the point with all relevant details of the event mentioned and highlighted in the invite. Try not incorporating these details in long messages. They have a tendency to get lost in such cases. The invite given below is written from the Vice President of the United States to the President of the United States of America.
