Disagreement Letter

A disagreement letter is written by an individual to a reader with whom he/she disagrees on a particular topic. The letter must be written formally. Although a disagreement may persist, the letter should be written with respect and consideration. The disagreement should always be on the ideas and opinions of individuals and not the individuals themselves. The letter must be written in a clear manner so as to avoid misunderstanding.

The disagreement letter should be written with proper justification. The disagreement may be due to any particular reason. In a professional working environment, the disagreement may be due to the implementation of individual goals or the disagreement regarding planning and execution. The letter must be very cautious as emotional outbursts in the letter could cause greater problems and jeopardize relationships further. The letter must be drafted many times to ensure that it is correct.

Subject: Disagreement over the advertisement.

Dear Mr. Ranjan,

I am writing this letter to express my disagreement over the advertisement choice that was made to promote the newly launched designer bags of Live company. I believe that the advertisement video is difficult to comprehend as it is combined with a music video. I believe that it is important to re-analyse the structure of the marketing campaign. The director of the Live company, our client, sent the company an e-mail requesting information about the progress being made in the advertising department as they wish to launch the advertisement in national media at the beginning of next month.

I would like to suggest that a general strategy might not suit the product. A new strategy has to be developed for us to meet the deadline and satisfy the customer. Please review the decision with the finance director immediately and ensure that the cost and budgeting are equally balanced.

Kindly meet me in my office at the earliest. I believe that your strategy is expensive as it includes excess properties and the cost outstripsĀ the budget. As a firm, we cannot afford to do that as our earnings are only 125% of the total budget. I suggest you review at least three strategies before our meeting at the earliest.

Please contact me at the earliest.

Rajesh Koothrappali.
