Credit Card Authorization Letter


A credit card authorization letter aims to authorize the issue of a credit card to a specific bank account holder with the bank. There are a lot of requirements involved to allow authorization of a credit card. Several processes such as background checks, time duration of the customer with the bank and most importantly a minimum balance in the account of the individual is required at the time of issuing a credit card.

Keeping all of these processes in mind, the bank must mention the details of these processes and the procedures that follow. A copy of specific ID proof is also required. Mention in the letter that the response letter must carry a copy of all the required documents. End the letter on a helpful note by offering guidance and help to the customer in any which way possible.  If possible, mention the name of a relationship manager who has been assigned to the client and is responsible for all the processes involved.

Subject: Credit Card authorization Letter

Respected Ma’am

This letter is in response to the application you had written for the issue of a credit card dated 1st June 2017. Your relationship manager Mr. Joshi has looked into your application and according to the policy of the bank, we are happy to tell you that you are eligible for the issue of a credit card. Please have a look at the requirements mentioned below that you meet-

  1. The customer must have an active account with the bank for a minimum duration of 12 months.
  2. The customer must not have any outstanding credit pending.
  3. The customer must have a minimum balance of INR 50,000 of each month to be able to have access to a credit card provided by the bank.

The Country Bank is happy to announce that since your financial records are absolutely clean, you have paid off all pending loans and have maintained an average balance of INR 76,000 in the past 12 months, based on these criterias you are eligible to get access to a credit card.

We will be required the following documents from you to go ahead with the next step in the process-

  1. Copy of PAN Card.
  2. Copy of Adhaar Card.
  3. Bank statements of the past 3 months.
  4. Cheque book
  5. Account Number

We will be sending a runner to your house on the 21st June 2017 at 1:00 pm. Please keep 2 copies of all the required documents ready so that the runner can collect them and deliver it to us.
