Consumer Complaint Letter
A consumer complaint letter is written to a consumer forum or consumer protection department to complain about a certain product. These days the agencies are quite quick in addressing the grievances of the consumer. It is usually the last resort when the company or salesperson don’t do anything to resolve the problem. In this letter you should include all the details regarding the product like the date of purchase, amount, bills, when did the problem start in your product or service and that the seller has done nothing to solve any of your problem.
As it is a formal letter, keep the tone of the letter soft and to the point. Make sure the letter is not too long. Use simple and easy to understand language and also double check to ensure there are no grammatical or spelling errors in the letter. State in the letter that you’re looking for a solution in quick span of time and that you’re attaching a copy of the required bill with the letter.

I write this letter in regard to the whirlpool air conditioner I had bought from Sundaram electronics last month. Right after two days of purchase, the cooling was not as effective. We tried adjusting the temperature and other features, we also checked our own voltage to make sure there was no problem from our side. When none of this helped I tried to contact our seller, Sundaram electronics but they said they can’t do anything. When my air conditioner is in the warranty period, I fail to understand their attitude. Despite calling them and personally visiting them they don’t ever give me a positive reply.
I got the air conditioner checked by my personal electrician and found out that the stabiliser of the air conditioner has failed. I want the air conditioner to be replaced as soon as possible but my seller has bluntly refused. Thus I was forced to write this letter to you. I hope you will be able to help me in resolving my problem. I would want the matter to be solved as soon as possible.
I am attaching my bill and other details along with the letter. Hoping for a quick reply from you soon.
Thank you for your time and patience.
