Subject: Condolences

Dear Sir,

I was saddened by the demise of your mother yesterday. I cannot fathom the immense grief that has engulfed you due to this terrible loss. I must admit that the dreadful news came as a huge shock to my family and me. I hope I was in the United States to comfort you, but unfortunately, I will come home as soon as my office work gets completed.

As a single parent, she was successful in making you a well respected professional and a well-informed citizen. Her story of breaking the proverbial glass ceiling is an enormous inspiration to us all. I am consoled, however at realizing that in her short life.

Sheldon, I know that this loss is devastating and it may take many months for you to overcome it. But, I want you to know that I will always be there for you and you may call me at anytime you wish to speak to me. I want you to know that you are not alone in this fight against the odds.

I will forever miss your mother’s physical presence. But, she is always there with us in the thousands of deeds of kindness that she showed during her life.

Lots of love,

Rajesh.
