Complaint Letter To The Boss

A complaint letter to the boss is written by an employee to his/her superior or the boss of the organization. The letter is usually written to express grievance in the organization and to ensure that the problem will be resolved as soon as possible. The letter is usually written if the organization does not have a human resources department or a grievance cell or if the boss acts as a complaint receiver in the organization.

The letter must be written in a clear and concise manner. The letter should relate to a complaint that may arise from within the organisation. It should be written formally. It should mention in detail the cause for raising the complaint and their request for resolution of that complaint. The letter should not include trivial details; it should include only details that affect the functioning of the organization. The letter should be addressed to the boss.

Subject – Delay in payment of bonus

Respected sir,

Warm greetings to you sir. I am writing you this letter to complain regarding the bonus that we were promised to get in holiday seasons but it has been a month since Diwali, and we still haven’t received. At first, I thought it was only me who didn’t get it, but after talking with other colleagues, I got to know that no one has received the bonus promised to us. That is why I am writing this letter to you on behalf of all the employees of the organization.

Not just the bonus, we haven’t been receiving our monthly allowances for past three months. When I chose this company to work for, it had a good reputation in the market which said that it had a great working environment and extremely helpful superiors. However, when I discussed this problem with my immediate superior, he completely ignored the issue. That is the reason I decided to write to you. I do hope you understand how important the bonus and incentives are for us. We plan our monthly expenditure based on the total salary we receive. And the expenses always skyrocket, especially during festivals. We have a lot of respect for you, and we hope that you will look into this matter as soon as possible. Hoping a positive response from your side

Thanking You

Yours Sincerely,

Mili Gupta.
