Charity Letter, Sample & Format

Introduction Letter

A Charity letter could be written by an individual or a charitable organization that requires financial or any other kind of support. It is a letter of request that states the purpose of the charity and its beneficiary. When enough information is supplied in the letter with a strong appeal, the recipient is more receptive to respond positively.

A charity is raised to help the needy ones who cannot afford basic necessity of life on their own. It is a generous act which should be encouraged to be done by everyone. This letter must state the purpose of the charity, and it should also be backed by proper records of the same. It is a formal letter which invites support in the form of finance or any other means from people who can provide the same. Once through the letter, you must check for its grammatical correctness.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Subject: Charity for Home of Little Orphans

I am writing on behalf of Home of Little Orphans to request your participation in a charity event to promote their welfare.

As it is the start of the New Year, 20 residents of Home of Little Orphans of school going ages, require your goodwill to equip them with the necessary resources and materials to start their school term which began on DD/MM/YYYY. You have an excellent goodwill in the market, and you have often donated yo charitable institutions.

You are invited to participate in this charity event by donating school items such as uniforms, bags, socks, and shoes. Alternatively, you may choose to give cash for the management of Home of Little Orphans to decide on the most required items for the little children, who would be grateful for your contribution. These children live only on the financial support provided to them by kind-hearted people like you. They do not have anyone else to provide them amenities as such. Your support shall be gladly received by us.

Please feel free to call us for further information on this charitable opportunity. You shall also receive receipts which will help you to get tax exemptions on charitable donations. Do revert to us as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Kevin Sawyer

Director,

Home of Little Orphans
