Balance confirmation letter, Sample & Format

A balance confirmation letter can be written by an individual who wishes to confirm the balance of his bank account or his leave in a company. If it is the former, the individual is requesting an update of his bank account balance while the latter refers to the employee’s request to know how many days of leave is left for his taking.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

RE: Bank Account Balance Request

I am writing to request your kind confirmation of my personal bank account balance. I am overseas at the moment and do not have easy access to my bank account. I shall be out of the country until the end of May 2010; hence, I would like to be updated on my bank account balance to avoid an overdraft.

My bank account is a joint personal account with a Mr. Larry Heifer. My account number is JU920-2039-33. I would appreciate a prompt response to this request as I intend to cash out from my account at the end of this month.

Your prompt service would be appreciated. Any inconvenience to this request is regretted.Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Catalina Clifton
