Appreciation Letter


An appreciation letter may be written for various purposes. It may be formal or informal. This is a sample appreciation letter drafted by the sender complimenting the excellent services of one who had been recruited to set up and oversee the event. Appreciation letter states the good efforts and followed through responsibilities of the appointee and team which led to the success of the event. This is an important letter, and it is highly emotional as well. Depending on whom the letter is being addressed to, the letter can be both formal as well as informal.

If the person you are writing the letter to someone who is close to you, be informal in tone. If you are addressing the letter to an official organization, be formal in tone. However, remember to stick to your three-part structure, comprising of an introduction, the main body, and a conclusion. Be polite and brief in your tone. All in all, the event was a complete success, and your efforts were especially lauded by everyone.

We had initially been very apprehensive about hiring someone from outside, as our local organizing committee had taken care of matters till now. However, I am very much pleased to inform you that our choice did not err. It was great that you came early to set up the place and organized those games for the children. Much to their delight, they had so much fun and were adequately surprised. Your keen eye to details ensured a smooth flow of events as well, and several committee members and participants found this especially good.
