RE: Job Application

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I pursued a Bachelor of Finance in my under graduation from the University of Washington. I recently graduated with an accounting degree. I came across your advertisement for an Assistant Accountant in the Grand Daily papers dated DD/MM/YYYY and was instantly drawn to the job profile. I am writing to request your consideration on my application for that post.

I have an excellent working knowledge of bookkeeping and the full set of accounts, having worked in various summer internships during my studies. I worked in Tax and Auditing at Ernst and Young in the summer of YYYY. It was through this internship that I set my mind on pursuing this field. I believe I am good with numbers and have a keen eye on important upcoming investments that included hints of hedging. My scores in accounting and finance is a testimony of that.

I have attached a letter of recommendation from my mentor at Ernst and Young, describing my work style and dedication towards the work. Enclosed are also a copy of my resume for personal information, academic transcripts and a couple of reference letters from previous employments.

I am an independent worker and do not mind working for long hours. I am flexible to working on the weekends if need be. I am available for an interview at your convenience.

I am sure under the guidance of your company I will learn and grow exponentially while simultaneously contributing towards the growth of the paper.

Thank you for your kind consideration on my job application. I look forward to hearing favorably from you.

Yours truly,

Arthur Hanson
