Introduction

An application inquiry letter is written by an applicant who has already sent in their application to the organization for various purposes including education, employment, volunteering, etc. The application inquiry letter is written so as to inquire about the status of the application during the time of its processing. The letter may also be written so as to inquire about the delay in receiving a reply from the organization, which has exceeded the stipulated amount of time.

The application inquiry letter is a formal letter. The application letter should clearly mention about the reason for inquiry, especially if the letter is being written to inquire about the delay in response. The letter should clearly indicate the application number that is stipulated at the time of application submission. The letter should also mention the supporting documents that were sent with the letter. The letter should inquire about whether the organization requires any more documents or information to process the letter.

The stipulated time for review of the documents was mentioned as one month from the date of application. Therefore I wanted to inquire about the delay in response to the application. I request you to review the matter at your convenience kindly.

The number of the application was 0000111 and was mailed to your address on May 21, 1776. The mail order should have reached you on that day itself. The application contained supporting documents such as a copy of my birth certificate, academic transcripts and records, and recommendation letters. These were the documents that were stipulated in the advertisement.
